When I tried to photograph the oil spills on May 7th by renting a helicopter I was told BP owns the airspace and therefore I was not allowed to fly. This inspired my new art series, "BP Sucks," or as it's called in Switzerland, "Oil on Water." The new series consists of appropriated images of the BP oil spills, which I manipulated in Photoshop and printed on canvas. Afterward, I painted on the canvas, poured resin over the images, then placed a photo transparency on top and then finished with a few more coats of resin.
